Man released from jail to find his vehicles and belongings missing
Lawrenceburg Now
An Ethridge man told authorities last week that when he was released from jail he arrived home to find that both of his vehicles and other belongings had been stolen.
The victim, a twenty-three year old Mt. Horeb Road resident, spoke with Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies, reporting a loss in excess of $13,000.
The victim told deputies that his ex-wife had been at his home when he was arrested, and that he had allowed her to stay there while he was incarcerated, “because she didn’t have anywhere to stay.”
The victim reported that once he was released from custody he returned to his home to find his ex-wife was gone along with his 2003 Ford Truck and 2004 GMC Canyon. In addition, he said that he had left $200 cash and his cell phone inside one of the vehicles.
At the time reports were filed the case remained under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
