Crash with injuries leads to arrest
Lawrenceburg Now
A crash in Lawrenceburg last week that involved injuries resulted in the arrest of one of the drivers.
Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers were dispatched to the Howard Street/North Locust Avenue intersection where they found three vehicles involved. One person sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems for medical attention.
Reports show that driver Lisa Ann Fox, a thirty-seven year old resident of 430 Fourth Street in Lawrenceburg, initially reported that a friend had been driving her vehicle.
Later, officers report, she admitted that she was the one who had been driving. Officers noted that she exhibited signs of intoxication. Field sobriety tests were administered and they report that she performed unsatisfactorily.
Fox told officers that she had not consumed alcohol, but that she had taken Zoloft, Ambien and Prozac pills together earlier in the day.
Reports show that Fox’s driver’s license was suspended at the time for failure to pay past fines and court costs. In addition, she was unable to produce her vehicle registration.
Fox was issued citations on charges of failure to exhibit due care and failure to produce registration. She was transported to the hospital for a blood alcohol test, then taken to the Lawrence County Detention Center. She was jailed under charges of first offense DUI and driving on a suspended license. Bond was set at $6,000.
Fox was scheduled an initial appearance in General Sessions Court on April 7, 2017.
