Police officers remove intoxicated nude woman from downtown business

Lawrenceburg Police officers responded to a downtown business during the weekend after a highly intoxicated, nude woman wandered inside.

Department reports show that officers responded to Weathers Brothers Music, located at 13 Public Square, at 7:30 Saturday morning regarding a “female in the store who was half-naked.”

When they arrived, officers found the woman sitting in a chair, entirely nude, covered partially by a man’s jacket and smoking a cigarette. She told officers that she had no recollection of how she came to be at the store, but that she “loved music and loved to sing.”

Officers noted that the woman, identified as thirty-nine year old Sarah Elizabeth Horne of 344 Groh Street, Lawrenceburg appeared to be “highly intoxicated on some type of narcotics.” She told them that she had consumed some pills and smoked marijuana prior to coming to the business.

Reports show that, “For her own safety and the safety of the general public,” Horne was placed under arrest on a charge of public intoxication. She was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where she was jailed under a bond of $1,000.
