Meth found in bra of nursing home patient
Lawrenceburg Now
Police officers were called upon to investigate during the weekend when a patient at a Lawrenceburg nursing home was found to have meth tucked into her bra.
According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers responded to NHC Brink Street on Saturday where they spoke with the administrator.
She reported that, overnight, an employee providing care to the eighty-five year old resident discovered that she had a plastic baggie tucked inside her bra. The baggie contained .3 grams of a crystal substance that tested positive as methamphetamine.
Officers spoke with the resident who told them that a man she believed to be a former neighbor had visited her the previous evening. She said he handed her the bag and told her, “It would make her feel good.” She was able to provide officers with information about the fifty-one year old suspect.
At the present time the matter remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
