Thursday Crime Report
Lawrenceburg Now
Auto Theft
Police officers responded to a Mahr Avenue home Wednesday at the request of a thirty-one year old resident who reported her vehicle had been stolen. She told officers she had resided in that location for a lengthy period of time with no problems, therefore it was common practice for her to leave the keys inside her 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. She said she had gone out to start her vehicle at around 7:00 a.m. and discovered that it was missing. Loss was estimated at $17,284.
Vandalism
Deputies were called to a Mattoxtown Road business last week where owners reported someone had driven recklessly in the parking lot, slinging gravel against the glass door, which caused it to break. Damages were assessed at $275.
Theft
Police officers answered a call to Franke Street last week. A Lawrenceburg woman reported that she rented the house at that location and that her previous tenants had apparently taken some of her belongings when they moved out. She told officers that her concrete lawn angel ornaments were missing along with concrete statues of a boy and a girl. They were taken from a flowerbed in the front yard. Altogether, she said her loss was around $800.
Vandalism
Deputies were summoned to a Genson Road home last week where a resident reported someone had sprayed red spray paint on his garage, resulting in around $150 worth of damage. Deputies noted that damage was also reported at three other homes on the road.
Vandalism
Last week, officers were called to Tractor Supply Company on North Locust Avenue where employees reported someone had cut a fence around an outdoor storage area, causing approximately $200 worth of damage. At the time the report was filed employees were uncertain whether anything had been stolen.
Burglary
A seventy-five year old Lawrenceburg woman requested that officers meet with her at her storage building on Old Florence Road last week. She reported that a side entrance door had been forced open and a roll-up door raised. A 1956 Chevrolet Nomad drag car was stolen along with four center cap trim rings. Altogether, loss was said to total $5,600.
