Forum of County Clerk position April 3rd

The county primary elections will be here soon and the Lawrence County Democratic Party would like to remind everyone of its importance. This will be your only opportunity to vote for the County Clerk position, as there is no Republican or Independent candidate on the ballot.

The party is thankful for two great candidates – Chuck Kizer, who is currently serving in this position, and newcomer Nick Moore. On April 3rd, you can meet the candidates and hear their positions at the Lawrence County Courthouse during a forum hosted by the Business Professional Women of Lawrence County and the Lawrence County Democratic Party. A meet and greet will be held at 5:30 p.m. The debate will begin at 6 p.m.

The county primary election will be held on May 1, 2018 with early voting to be held April 11th through April 26th. You must choose the Democratic primary in order to vote for the County Clerk position or the Republican primary to vote for the Sheriff nomination.

The deadline to register to vote for the primary election is April 2nd. You can register at the County Election Office or online at https://ovr.govote.tn.gov/. If you need assistance in registering to vote or a ride to the polls, the party will be glad to assist you. Give us a call at 615-430-9501.
