Arrest made in Monday morning stabbing incident
Lawrenceburg Now
A Lawrenceburg woman was arrested Monday morning after law enforcement officers were summoned to a Roberts Avenue home to investigate a stabbing incident.
According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to 1107 Roberts Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. They arrived to find that a forty-two year old male resident had sustained a stab wound in the area of his right armpit. He told officers that his girlfriend had stabbed him while they were arguing.
Emergency medical personnel were on-scene to render medical attention. Reports show that the victim refused transport to the hospital, indicating to officers that he would transport himself.
Officers interviewed the suspect, identified as twenty-nine year old resident Krista Michelle Trapp. She allegedly stated that she and her boyfriend had been arguing that morning and things began to escalate. She said she had locked him out of the residence, but that she had eventually allowed him back inside. She told officers she had stabbed him, then placed the knife in the kitchen sink.
Trapp was arrested on a charge of aggravated domestic assault and was subsequently transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center for incarceration. Her bond was set at $75,000.
Trapp is scheduled to answer the charge in General Sessions Court on April 9, 2018.
