Employee Fails To Turn Over Payment

Local law enforcement officers were asked to initiate an investigation Tuesday when representatives of a Lawrenceburg business reported that an employee had failed to turn in a payment submitted by a customer.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to Performance Feeds, located at 122 Fourth Street, just before 11:00 a.m. Business officials reported that on January 12 a driver had delivered three tons of feed to a customer. The customer told management that he had paid the driver the total amount of $647 in cash at the time of delivery.

Business representatives told officers that the driver had never submitted the payment to the manager to be credited to the customer’s account.

The matter was turned over for further investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
