Ethridge Police track stolen semi all the way to Texas.

Terrance Chapa, 40, is the truck driver suspected of stealing an 18 wheeler from a Tennessee business.

Sharp Transport reported Tuesday that the truck never arrived for a scheduled pickup over the weekend in Sulphur, Louisiana.

The company tried contacting Chapa multiple times. The company had no other option, but to contact the Ethridge police department.

The semi has a built in tracking system, which allowed officers to track the missing truck's location all the way to Houston, Texas.

The Ethridge police department contacted authorities in Harris County, Texas and after a pursuit law enforcement in Texas arrested Chapa and booked him into a nearby jail.

Chapa was charged with theft of a vehicle over $100,000 and will be transported back to Tennessee.

His bond was set at $100,000.
