Lawrenceburg Now
Vandalism
A resident of Maple Avenue reported to police officers Monday morning that someone had cut two tires on her 2011 Kia Soul. She said the crime occurred sometime after 10:30 the previous night. Damages were said to total $100.
Burglary
A resident of Geri Street filed a complaint with police officers last week, saying that her home had been burglarized. The fifty-seven year old victim reported that the door had been forced open, her couch cut and burned with cigarettes, her door frame and oxygen machine had been damaged, and her television had been swapped out for a smaller one. The matter remains under investigation.
Theft
On Friday, officers responded to Fiesta Mexicana restaurant where a Jackson Street resident reported the license plate had been stolen off of his vehicle. He said he had left the 2005 Toyota Highlander parked in the parking lot around one week before. Loss was said to be $60.
Theft
Officers were called to Walmart on North Locust Avenue Friday where store officials reported a shoplifting incident. They reported that a woman had left the store with an air fryer and ten containers of Tide pods, without paying for the merchandise. Loss was $338.70.
Theft
Officers were summoned to a Helton Drive industry last week where a worker reported her Galaxy S8 plus cell phone had been stolen. She said she laid it down before using the restroom. When she returned, her phone was missing. Loss was approximately $800.
Vehicle burglary
The owner of a 1999 Honda Civic reported to police officers Saturday that someone had broken into her vehicle and stolen the stereo. The perpetrator had broken the driver’s side window in order to gain entry. Damages and loss totaled around $320.
Vehicle burglary
On Saturday, police officers were called to a North Military Avenue home regarding a vehicle burglary. The owner reported that someone had entered her vehicle sometime the previous night, stealing $220 cash from her wallet. She told officers that the doors had been locked. She said she heard the alarm sound twice at around midnight, but that she did not go out to check her car.
Aggravated burglary
An East Taylor Street resident reported a $200 loss as a result of a home burglary late last week. The victim, age 39, said that a number of her personal belongings had been stolen. She said they were taken while she was away from home that day, sometime between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m.
