Dog Stolen Outside Of Lawrenceburg Business

A Lawrenceburg woman reported to police officials Tuesday that, in the few moments that she was away, her dog had been stolen from outside of a local business.

The victim, age 48, reported the theft to Lawrenceburg police officers shortly after 12:30 p.m. She said that she had tied her brown and black Shih Tzu to the exterior door of Remke Eye Clinic on North Military Avenue, so that she could go inside and have her glasses fixed.

The victim said that office personnel informed her that she could not leave the dog tied to their door. She said that she quickly walked back, but that in that brief amount of time her dog had been stolen.

The victim told officers that she was certain that the dog had been secured to the door. She said she searched the area, but had been unable to locate her pet.
