Aviagen Relocates Several Divisions Of Production Operation To Loretto
Officials with the City of Loretto announced Thursday that a company will be relocating some of its production operation there, creating several new jobs.
Loretto Mayor Jesse Turner indicated that Aviagen, the world’s leading poultry breeding company, has acquired a facility in Loretto and will be relocating several divisions there. They expect that the move will result in the creation of 45 jobs.
Turner said that team effort and hard work were what was what made the move a reality. “This announcement is the end result of months of hard work and negotiations from a number of individuals, notably Greg Augustin. Our thanks go to Greg and everyone who put so much time into landing this for Loretto,” Turner said.
Aviagen Vice President of operations Jason Mack commented, “A strong commitment to bio-security best practices is the best way to avoid disease that can threaten the health of our breeding flocks. We’re excited to bring Aviagen’s Clean-Out and Vaccination Departments to Loretto, and we look forward to growing our ranks with new employees from the community.”

Turner said that Aviagen will be participating in a job fair that will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Loretto Civic Center. The company plans to begin the relocation process during the spring.
