Video shows same customer shoplifting on five separate occasions
Lawrenceburg Now
Loss prevention personnel reviewing security video at a Lawrenceburg business reported discovering that the same customer was shown shoplifting on five different occasions.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were called to Walmart, 2130 North Locust Avenue, on Wednesday. Store personnel reported that they had been reviewing security video dating back to January, when they noticed the woman appeared multiple times.
She was shown selecting a DVD player on January 7, then bypassing the checkout without paying. She again appeared on video from February 2. At that time she reportedly took energy drinks and aluminum foil. On February 27, the woman could be seen leaving the store without paying for pillows, Lysol and fabric softener.
Video from March 3 revealed that the woman had stolen a diffuser/wax warmer, and on March 6 she was spotted at a checkout scanning some items, but not others. She reportedly stole some oil on that date. Altogether, loss to the business was estimated at around $120.
Reports show that store personnel were able to identify the woman. Investigation into the incident is on-going at the current time.
