Monday Crime Report
Burglary
Police officers answered a home to 362 Pulaski Street where the resident reported that between March 4th and 7th someone entered the storage building behind his residence and stole some items. Missing were an antique toy car and three glass globes off of antique gas pumps. The globes bore the words, “Shell,” “Mobile,” and “Colonial.” Loss was estimated at $1,000.
Theft
A Glenn Springs Road resident reported an approximately $20 loss to deputies, indicating that medication had been stolen out of her prescription bottles in her purse.
Theft
Batteries and gasoline were reportedly taken from vehicles on a Granddaddy Road property, leaving a loss of nearly $800. The victim reported that gasoline had been stolen out of a utility truck, four wheelers, tractor, lawnmower, and go cart at a jobsite. He said that cables had been cut and the batteries stolen from all of the vehicles, as well. A battery was also missing from a car parked on the lot.
Burglary
Deputies were called to investigate the burglary of an Oaks Road, Ethridge home where a loss of around $250 was reported. The owner reported that her sister had gone by to feed her dogs while she was away and found the front screen door propped open. Several items were found lying on the floor and a 40 inch flat screen TV was missing.
Aggravated burglary
A Greenbrier Road resident discovered that someone had burglarized her home, making off with two flat screen TVs and a comforter. Tire tracks were found in the front yard. The burglary had occurred sometime between 11:30a.m .and 5:15 p.m. that day. Loss was estimated at $520.
Shoplifting
A couple reportedly stole several items from Dollar General Store in Ethridge resulting in an approximate $23 loss. The manager said that the man and woman acted in a suspicious manner while moving through the store. He said that they checked out, purchasing a two liter Pepsi, chips, and a toothbrush. After they left he found empty wrappers from some razors, crafting tape and a mini wire brush. He was able to give deputies a description of the pair as well as a license plate number.
