Lawrence County Schools Receive Perfect Audit for 2nd Consecutive Year

The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury has recently recognized a significant achievement by Lawrence County School System.  Included within the Lawrence County Annual Financial Report  for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015 is the Lawrence County School System’s audit report which contains no audit findings for the second year in a row. 

Lawrence County School System operates on a $56+ million budget that is comprised of General Purpose Funds, Federal Funds, and Central Cafeteria funds.

LCSS officials have worked hard to continue to operate with a high level of financial integrity and take the necessary steps to continue to protect taxpayers' money.  Leading the financial team of Lawrence County Schools is Jessica Eledge. 

Mrs. Eledge has four employees  that are greatly instrumental in managing school system funds.  They include Janice Bailey, Bobbie Weaver, Kim Gobble, and DeRhonda McKissack. 

The business department of five within Lawrence County Schools manages approximately two-thirds of the total Lawrence County budget in addition to federal and state dollars.
