Deputies intervening in disturbance discover drugs

Deputies called to intervene in a disturbance in the Summertown area last weekend, arrived to detect a strong odor of marijuana.

At the scene on Birdy Road, one of the men involved in the dispute reported that his neighbor’sdog killed his duck.

After detecting the odor of “freshly smoked marijuana” deputies conducted a search of the premises.

They turned up plastic bags along with rolling papers and a small quantity of marijuana. Jesse Austin Heatherly, age 30, was issued citations, charging him with the crimes of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
