Pedestrian reports being robbed at gunpoint

Lawrenceburg Now

 A pedestrian reported to local law enforcement authorities on Friday that he had been robbed at gunpoint by a passing motorist.

 The victim stopped by the Lawrenceburg Police Department after midnight to report that he had been robbed and assaulted at around 11:00 p.m. Thursday, while walking along Marston Street.

 Reports indicate that the victim was walking on Marston when he was passed by a silver Toyota 4Runner. He said that the driver circled past him a second time and that an unknown man got out of the vehicle, demanding that he give him all of his money.

 When the victim refused to hand over his money, he said the man pulled out a black handgun. He said the man pointed the weapon at him and at some point used it to strike him in the back of the head.

The victim told officers that he was robbed of $135. He was unable to determine the race of his attacker.

Presently, the case remains under investigation through the department's Criminal Investigation Division.
