Mailboxes At Twenty Residences Damaged In Vandalism Spree

Authorities are investigating a vandalism spree reported during the weekend that resulted in damaged mailboxes for twenty separate residents.

A deputy with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department was called to a Michael Circle home at around 3:00 to investigate the damage there. While en route, the responding officer noticed many mailboxes along the route that had been damaged.

The deputy reported that mailboxes had been damaged along Michael Circle, Teresa Street, and Norton Road. Altogether, he estimated that damages totaled in excess of $1,000.
