Fence Vandalized At Leoma Property

Lawrenceburg Now

A Leoma resident reported nearly $100 worth of damage while filing a complaint of vandalism to his fence last week.

The fifty-eight year old victim reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies that he had been having problems with a neighbor’s horse getting into his pasture. He said that he had returned the horse to its owner on several occasions.

At around 8:00 Friday morning, he said that he discovered that the barbed wire fence around his pasture had been cut and two wooden fence posts knocked down. He told deputies that he feared that the neighbor’s horse had gotten into his pasture once again and that the fence was cut while it was being retrieved.

The matter currently remains under investigation.
