Woman Who Let Friends Borrow Movies Becomes Victim Of Theft

Lawrenceburg Now

A local woman who allowed some friends to borrow movies from her home discovered shortly afterwards that she had become a victim of theft.

The victim, age 26, filed a complaint through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department on Friday stating that, while she was at work, she had allowed two friends to go to her house to borrow some movies. She told them that her boyfriend was at the home.

The victim told deputies that she had gotten home from work at a late hour and went to bed. The next morning she discovered that around 110 hydrocodone pain pills were missing.

Reports show that the victim attempted to contact the two friends several times through text messages and phone calls, but that she was unable to make contact.

At the time reports were filed the incident remained under investigation.
