Loretto Board To Meet Tuesday Evening

Lawrenceburg Now

Members of the Loretto Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet in regular session Tuesday evening to consider a few items of business.

Appearing on the agenda is second reading of a resolution to amend the city’s budget to include $5,000 to the police department budget from a Governor’s Highway Safety Grant. The 100% grant requires no match on the part of the city.

An amendment to the city’s alcoholic beverage ordinance pertaining to alcoholic beverages other than beer will also be considered. The amendment, being brought on first reading, will bring the city into compliance with state law.

Members of the board will consider entering into a contract with the company Local Geography for the mapping of the city’s utility system.

In the final item appearing on the agenda, board members are asked to approve the addition of Micah Turner as a volunteer firefighter.

The meeting, which is open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Loretto City Hall.
