Ethridge Resident’s Truck Stolen Then Abandoned
Lawrenceburg Now
A vehicle that had been stolen from an Ethridge home during the nighttime hours last week was later abandoned in the driveway of a Leoma home.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the Sugarland Road home where the resident reported that, during the previous night, someone had stolen his blue 1989 GMC 2500 SC2 truck. He said that the keys had been left in the ignition.
The responding deputy requested that Lawrence Central Dispatch issue a BOLO for the vehicle. After he left the premises, the deputy reports that he was contacted by Central Dispatch. He was informed that the truck in question had been abandoned in the driveway of an Old Florence Pulaski Road home.
The resident of the home where the truck was abandoned reported that she had arrived home from work to find that the truck was blocking her driveway.
The owner was notified of the situation and was able to retrieve the undamaged truck.
