Man accosts woman in parking lot, then follows her through store

A West Point resident sought assistance from Lawrenceburg Police officers Tuesday after a man accosted her in the parking lot of a local business, then followed her around inside of the store.

The victim, age 43, reported to police officers that she had been in the parking lot at Walmart on North Locust Avenue when she was approached by a stranger. She said that he grabbed her by the shoulder, pulled her “into his face” then whispered “all kinds of profanity.” She said that when she got away from him, she and her daughter went inside and the man followed them around for approximately half an hour.

She described the man as a white male in his late 40s, 5’9” tall, 230 pounds, with gray hair. She said he was missing most of his teeth and that he spoke with a severe lisp. She told officers that he was wearing a dark T-shirt beneath a flannel button-up shirt, black pants and shoes, and a Korean War Veteran cap.

At the time reports were filed Walmart security personnel were checking security footage to determine whether the incident had been captured on video.
