Large Amount Of Cash, Drugs Seized During Search Of Camper
Lawrenceburg Now
A large amount of cash and drugs were seized by law enforcement officers last week while they were conducting a search of a camper.
Investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department made their way to the camper, located at 823 Bumpas Road, after receiving a tip regarding large quantities of methamphetamine. When they made contact with the residents, they requested that they allow a search. They were granted consent and the search was initiated.
During the search, investigators report finding approximately 3 ½ ounces of meth along with two types of prescription medications, a baggie containing a brown substance believed to be heroin, a twenty dollar bill containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, baggies and scales (commonly used when packaging drugs for resale), a meth pipe, and a variety of other items deemed drug paraphernalia.
Investigators report that they searched a bag belonging to one of the residents. Inside, they found $2,883, mostly in twenty dollar bills. They report that this is common when selling narcotics. All of the evidence was collected and forwarded to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for analysis.
Investigators report that evidence against the three persons inside the camper, identified as Jason Myhan, Laquetta Bosheers, and Wendy Spearman, will be presented to a Lawrence County Grand Jury at a later date. They will be seeking indictments on charges of possession of meth for the purpose of resale, possession of cocaine for the purpose of resale, possession of heroin for the purpose of resale, illegal possession of a Schedule IV prescription medication, illegal possession of a prescription legend drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
