Group Enters Second Street Home, Makes Threats To Residents
Lawrenceburg Now
A group of individuals reportedly entered a Second Street home last week, cursing and making threats toward the three residents.
According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department officers were summoned to the home just before 7:00 p.m. Thursday. A forty-eight year old resident told them that her sixteen year old son had received a threatening phone call from an individual who said he was going to “come over with his friends and kill everyone in the house.”
Shortly after the call was terminated, the resident said that the caller showed up at her back door with eight friends. She said that he taunted her son, yelling for him to “come outside like a man.” She said that all nine of them then came into her home where they began to curse and make threats to her son.
She said that when she told them to leave, they began to threaten “everyone” in the house. She told officers that “she had to show them she had a gun before they would leave.” As they exited, she said the young man who had called told her that “his gun would shoot too.”
The son told officers that the man had once come to his home with some girls to play video games. He said that he had called “wanting his game controller back” and that he had given it to the man’s brother. He said that on Thursday evening he had called “advising him to give him the $50 he owed him.” He said that he told him he “didn’t owe him anything” at which time the man began to make threats.
A second female resident was able to provide a statement, as well. She said that when the group came into their home they “did not care who got in their way.”
Officers attempted to make contact with some of the subjects, but were unsuccessful. The officer advised the victims how they could obtain criminal summons against members of the group. They expressed their intent to pursue charges.
