Items stolen while owner is incapacitated with seizure
Lawrenceburg Now
Law enforcement officers were called upon to investigate last week when a local man said he was robbed while he was having a seizure.
The victim, age 53, reported that he had a seizure a few days prior and was incapacitated, lying on the floor of his home. He told officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that a family member eventually found him and called to have members of the Emergency Medical Service dispatched to the scene. He was transported and hospitalized for several days.
The victim said that once he returned home he discovered that some of his belongings had been stolen. His oxycodone prescription had been stolen along with a Taurus .357 magnum revolver. He estimated his loss to total $415.
The matter currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone who has information about the crime should contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
