Stranger flees from Iron City camper

Lawrenceburg Now

An Iron City resident reported to authorities Monday that he was surprised when he saw a stranger fleeing from inside of his camper.

The victim spoke with Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies at his Walnut Street home Monday night. He said that he had been pulling his vehicle alongside of his 2006 Coachmen travel trailer when he saw someone "jump out of the trailer and start running south."

The victim said that the travel trailer had been left unlocked and that nothing appeared to be missing or damaged. He speculated that the person had been using the trailer as a place to sleep at night.

The victim told deputies, that in the future, he will make certain that the camper is secured.
