Loretto High School Band Selected To The 53rd Annual Tennessee Tech University Festival of Winds and Percussion

Congratulations to Peyton Hunt, Adam Waldrop, Brandi Hale and Jackson Clark, four members of the Loretto High School Band on being selected to the 53rd Annual Tennessee Tech University Festival of Winds and Percussion.  

The festival was held on the campus of Tennessee Tech February 11 – 13.  It was a wonderful weekend with many rehearsals concluding with amazing concerts. 

The band members worked with guest conductors Jan Van der Roost – Composer who currently teaches at Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, Belgium, James Curnow – composer from North Carolina having won the American Bandmasters Association Ostwald Award (two times) and was named composer of the year by the National Music Teachers Association, Michael Nakasone – Bandmaster Emeritus for the Royal Hawaiian Band and retired director from Pearl City High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, Lieutenant Colonel Roger Mills – currently the Commander and Conductor of the Air National Guard Band of the South  and Director of Bands at Tennessee Tech University Joseph W.  Hermann.
