Burglar Sleeps In Bed After Breaking Into Sixth Street Home

   The owner of a Lawrenceburg property reported to authorities during the weekend that someone had broken into his house, then apparently slept in the bed before leaving.

   Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were called to 437 Sixth Street at around 10:30 Saturday morning. The owner reported that he had stopped by to find that the home had been burglarized.

   Reports show that the person responsible broke a pane of glass from a rear door in order to gain entry to the home. The home was rummaged through and a 19” Sylvania TV and a Sony Blu-ray player were stolen. The owner said that it appeared that the perpetrator had slept in the bed before leaving the scene.

   The owner reported the crime had occurred sometime after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3. Anyone who has information pertinent to the investigation should contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
