Motel Manager Says Guest Stole Items From Room

Lawrenceburg Now

The manager of a Lawrenceburg motel filed a complaint with local law enforcement officers during the weekend, indicating that a guest had stolen items from a room.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were called to Crockett Motel, located at 503 East Gaines Street, at around 10:00 Saturday morning.

The manager reported that a twenty-four year old Wabash, Indiana man had stayed there the previous night. When motel employees went to clean the room they discovered that the man had stolen a thirty-two inch RCA television, bed linens, and the garbage can. The manager estimated losses to total $160.

Officers noted that the guest had left prior to his arrival. Investigation into the matter is currently on-going.
