Driver crashes into Ethridge business
Lawrenceburg Now
Witnesses at an Ethridge business filed a complaint with law enforcement officers during the weekend after a driver crashed into the side of the building, then fled from the scene.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the Owl's Nest at 4014 Highway 43 North just after 2:00 a.m. Witnesses reported that a man driving a white extended cab Ford Ranger had revved his engine in the parking lot, lost control of the truck, and crashed into the side of the building.
The impact caused a baseball-sized hole in the exterior concrete block wall. It also caused damage to the drywall on the inside of the establishment. They estimated total monetary damages to be $1,000.
Witnesses were only able to give a first name for the driver, but were able to give an approximate address and place of employment. The deputy recommended that owners file a civil lawsuit to recoup their losses.
