Monday Crime Report
Lawrenceburg Now
Burglary
Police officers answered a call to home on Holtsford Street Sunday where the resident reported someone had burglarized his home. A lock had been broken off of a bedroom window. Missing were four Amazon fire sticks. Total loss was said to total $224.76.
Theft
A set of rims and tires, valued at $550, were reported stolen from Better Deal Pawn, 614 North Locust Avenue, on Saturday. Owners reported that video surveillance showed a man backing a truck up to where the wheels had been secured by a log chain. The man cut the chain with bolt cutters, loaded the wheels into his truck, and left. Images of the vehicle, suspect, and a passenger have been provided for further investigation.
Theft
On Friday, officers responded to a home on Belmont Street where the resident reported a lawn chair had been stolen off of the front porch. Loss was said to be around $20.
Aggravated burglary
Police officers responded to an apartment on Deller Street Saturday where the resident reported that he had been hospitalized, returning to his home to find the front door had been kicked open. He told officers that his children’s Christmas gifts had been stolen along with several other items. Loss was estimated at $2,495.93.
Vehicle theft
Deputies investigated the theft of a Buick LeSabre from his North Poplar Street home in Iron City. He said that he had been notified that the car had been involved in a police chase in Lawrenceburg
Theft
A resident of East Big Springs Road reported to deputies last week that his Ruger .380 semi-automatic pistol was missing. He estimated its value at $220.
Theft
Deputies responded to a Double Eagle Drive home in Summertown where the resident reported his children’s Polaris Sportsman 110 EFI four wheeler had been stolen. Loss totaled $3,200.
Theft
Deputies spoke with an Old Florence Pulaski Road resident last week who reported that $200 cash had been stolen off of her dining room table. She told deputies that the cash could have been taken by a relative.
Theft
Employees of Big Oak Market on Rabbit Trail Road filed a complaint with deputies, indicating that a driver had pumped $76.24 worth of gasoline, then drove away without paying for it.
Vehicle theft
A 2005 Ford Taurus, valued at $4,500, was reported stolen from a Turnpike home on Wednesday. The owner said the car had been taken from the driveway. He said the keys had not been in the ignition, but had been left inside the car.
Theft
A Yamaha dirt bike was reportedly stolen from a fenced area at Adventure Outdoors in Leoma last week. The bike was valued at $300. Owners reported $100 damage to the wooden fence.
Counterfeit money
Deputies spoke with employees at Shoal Creek Canoe Run on Iron City Road last week who reported that a man had passed a counterfeit $100 bill while making a purchase shortly before. Deputies were able to collect security footage to further the investigation.
Burglary
A Waterfork Road resident filed a complaint with deputies, indicating that he had returned to his home to find his door standing open. Pry marks were found around the door, the trim was cracked, and there was a scratch on the door itself. A screen had been removed from a bedroom window, as well, but it had then been put back into place. The resident reported that someone had left his back door unlocked, as well. Nothing appeared to be missing. Damages were assessed at $50.
Fraud
A local woman filed a complaint with deputies after learning that someone had opened a Lord & Taylor credit card in her name and ran up $569.14 in charges. She said that she discovered that someone had attempted to open lines of credit at two other businesses using her identity, as well.
