Maury Regional accepting MASH program applications in February

Students who will be juniors or seniors in the next school year and are interested in pursuing careers in health care are encouraged to apply for the 2017 Maury Academy for Students in Health (MASH) program at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC). Applications will be accepted during the month of February for the program that will be held in June.

MASH is a two-week camp coordinated by the medical center’s Volunteer Services Department for high school students interested in learning about health care professions. Students are exposed to a number of health-related career specialties by interacting with professionals who work in those fields.

The dates for the 2017 program are June 5-16. If accepted, students are required to attend the full session.

To apply for the MASH program, a student must be a junior or senior for the 2017/2018 school year and meet academic requirements. Recommendations from school personnel are required and applicants must submit an essay and attend an interview.
