Loretto Winter Guard Attends First Contest Of The Season

On Saturday, January 30, 2016 the Loretto Winter Guard attended their first contest of the season. “Rhythm and Silk” host at Independence High School in Thompson Station, Tennessee. 

This contest is a part of the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit.  The Loretto Winter Guard gave a great performance earning them a 6th place finish out of 18 other winter guard groups in the Scholastic Regional AA/A Class.

They finished behind great groups such as Beech High School, Independence High School, Allen County, Kentucky and ahead of some great groups like Signal Mountain High School, Giles County High School, Riverdale High School and Ravenwood High School. 

Band director, Darrell Boston, said, “He was very pleased with our first contest performance and how hard and dedicated the members are to improving and being the best they can be.  I feel we are off to a good start for this season."
