Customer says woman with Facebook business ripped her off

Lawrenceburg Now

A Lawrenceburg woman filed a complaint with Lawrenceburg Police officers on Wednesday, indicating that she was out more than $1,000 after placing an order with a woman who runs a business via Facebook.

The twenty-nine year old victim provided officers with much documentation about the transactions. She said that she had paid the woman $1,075.70 when she ordered a number of monogrammed clothing items from her in September. She said that she had communicated with the woman for some time, but that she repeatedly made excuses about why her items had not been shipped. She said eventually the communication ceased.

The victim told officers that the woman has, since, established a new Facebook business. She said that she had noticed others online who were complaining about the same woman and discovered that "there is a Facebook page dedicated to complaints abut her."

The victim told officers that she has no means of contacting the woman at this point. Investigation into the allegations is currently on-going.
