Woman breaks into home, rams truck repeatedly with her car
Lawrenceburg Now
Law enforcement officers are working to determine whether any charges will result from an incident that occurred Friday night during which a woman allegedly kicked in her ex’s door, then rammed his vehicle repeatedly, causing more than $5,000 in collective damages.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department responded to the home on Bucks Lane in Saint Joseph at around 11:30 p.m. The male resident, age thirty-seven, reported that he had been asleep when his ex-girlfriend kicked in the back door, entered his home, and began yelling at him. He told officers that she took his cell phone before going outside to get into her Ford Escape.
The victim told officers that after she got into her vehicle, the woman rammed his Ford Ranger truck several times in the front yard. The action resulted in damages that extended along the length of the driver’s side. He estimated that damages to the truck would total $5,000. In addition, he estimated that another $200 in damage had been done to the door of his house.
At the time reports were filed no arrests had yet been made. The case currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
