Boyfriend Breaks Car Window When Asked To Leave
Lawrenceburg Now
A Lawrenceburg woman sought police assistance Tuesday after her boyfriend made threats against her life and broke her car window when she asked him to leave her home.
Reports generated through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers were dispatched to the home at 9:00 p.m. The twenty-two year old victim reported that she had arrived home to find her boyfriend inside her home. She said that she asked him to leave and he became irate.
The victim said that her boyfriend made threats to kill her so she ran outside and locked herself inside her car “trying to get away from him”. She told officers that he had followed her and struck the windshield with his hand, breaking the windshield.
Reports show that the victim was able to drive away, but that her boyfriend had stolen her bank card before she left. She checked the balance and told officers that he had withdrawn $200 from her account without her consent.
Officers report that at the time the incident occurred, the boyfriend was free under an active conditional bond issued in the wake of a previous domestic altercation involving the same victim.
Additional charges are expected to be placed, including violation of a conditional bond, vandalism, and aggravated domestic assault. At the time reports were filed, officers had been unable to locate the suspect.
