Pulaski Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at an apartment where tragically an elderly person was found deceased.

According to reports Pulaski Fire Department was dispatched on Monday around 7:50 p.m. to a structure fire at an apartment on Cleveland Street.

Crews arrived to find visible flames coming from the apartment where firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

Upon doing a sweep of the apartment crews sadly discovered an elderly person deceased inside.

At this time no further information has been released as the case is being investigated by the State Fire Marshall's office.

Approximately $50,000 in damage has been reported.
