Purse left in shopping cart is stolen
Lawrenceburg Now
A Lawrenceburg woman filed a complaint with law enforcement officers on Wednesday, saying that the purse she had left in her shopping cart had been stolen.
The victim, a forty-five year old resident of Leoma, filed the complaint with officers of the Lawrenceburg Police Department at around 6:00 p.m. She reported that she had been shopping inside Cash Savers, 818 North Locust Avenue when the incident occurred.
The victim reported that after paying for her items, she pushed the shopping cart to her vehicle and loaded her purchases inside. She told officers that she inadvertently left her purse in the shopping cart when she left the premises. She returned a short time later and discovered that her purse had been stolen.
The victim said that she had spoken with employees, but that no one had returned the purse to workers. She told officers that the purse contained money cards, a checkbook, earrings, and around $50 in cash. Altogether she estimated her loss at $180.
