Burglary
Deputies responded to a Hawthorne Drive home on New Year’s Eve where the resident reported that her home had been burglarized. She said that she had left home around 10:00 a.m., returning around 11:45 a.m. to find that a door had been opened. It appeared that the point of entry was the back door. Although she could identify no belongings as being missing, she said that the intruder had taken her husband’s pistol out of the holster and left it lying on the bed. She said that this was not the first such burglary. She said that nothing was stolen during the previous incidents, either.
Vandalism
A Glenn Springs Road resident reported to deputies that he incurred an approximate $30 loss last week when someone damaged his flag pole. He said that he had heard some strange sounds during the previous night. He told deputies that this was the second time in the past few months that his flag pole had been vandalized.
Vandalism
A Glenn Springs Road resident reported an instance of vandalism to deputies last week, indicating that her mailbox had sustained damage. Deputies noted that “the mailbox appeared to have been struck by a mirror from a vehicle.” Damages were estimated at $35.
Theft
A resident of Self Road reported that his mailbox was stolen last week resulting in loss of around $100. The victim told deputies that the mailbox, a gift from his wife, was a green, John Deere tractor. He discovered that morning that the mailbox and post had been completely removed from his property.
