A public hearing on a proposed annexation and the plan of services will held by the Loretto Board of Mayor and Aldermen at the Loretto City Hall at 6:45 P.M. on Monday, November 10. The proposed annexation area is the Abercrombie property adjoining Eells Street. Copies of the plan of services are available for public inspection during business hours at Loretto City Hall, Loretto Civic Center, and the Loretto Branch of the Lawrence County Library.

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Loretto Board of Mayor and Aldermen has been rescheduled from Tuesday, November 4 to Monday, November 10 at 7:00 P.M.

Loretto United Methodist Church will sponsor their annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov 8th from 8-5 and Sunday Nov 9th from 1-4. There will be Christmas decorations, gift ideas, several other numerous items for sale. We will also have baked items, pickles, relishes, and all kinds of delicious goodies. We don't want to leave the kiddos out as Santa will pay a visit on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM. Pictures with Santa will be available. There will also be a chili luncheon from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Saturday. Come enjoy a warm bowl of chili as cooler weather arrives.

It's that spooktacular time of the year again! The Parks and Recreation announces their annual Halloween Carnival that is geared for ages 10 years and under. This event will be held on Friday, October 31, 5:00pm-7:00pm at Rotary Park Gym. THIS EVENT IS FREE!!! Parental supervision is required at all times. Carnival games, karaoke, free drinks and free popcorn will be available. Hey kiddos, don't forget to wear your costumes and bring your treat bags (there's candy too.) Second Avenue in Loretto will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, October 27 as work begins on the bridge replacement over Loretto Branch (Mill Creek) near Augustin Lumber Company. Construction is expected to take at least 6 weeks.

On Thursday, October 30th at 4pm the Lawrence County Public Library will be hosting a Spooktacular Storytime for K-3rd graders. The City of Lawrenceburg will begin accepting requests to reserve the City Auditorium for events in 2015 beginning November 3, 2014.

As of November 3, a non-refundable reservation fee of $30.00 is due at the time of reservation and is required for each date booked.
 
Some dates, due to city or community functions, will not be available for public use.

Please come to the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex located at 25 Public Square to make your reservations.  The building opens at 8:00 a.m.

Lewis County Historical Society in Hohenwald, Tennessee, is organizing the 1st Annual Christmas Tour of Hohenwald?s Historic District, on Saturday, December 6. Tickets are $10; $7 ages 12 and under; free for children 3 and under and may be purchased the day of the event at The Emporium, located at 25 E. Main St., in downtown Hohenwald, or in advance at Lewis County Museum of Natural History, Strand Art Gallery or Chamber of Commerce office. ,Ticket admission is good for program and tours to Historic District Churches, Lewis County Museum of Natural History, and Strand Theatre's Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 6.
