Loretto United Methodist Church will sponsor their annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov 8th from 8-5 and Sunday Nov 9th from 1-4. There will be Christmas decorations, gift ideas, several other numerous items for sale. We will also have baked items, pickles, relishes, and all kinds of delicious goodies. We don't want to leave the kiddos out as Santa will pay a visit on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM. Pictures with Santa will be available. There will also be a chili luncheon from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Saturday. Come enjoy a warm bowl of chili as cooler weather arrives.

It's that spooktacular time of the year again! The Parks and Recreation announces their annual Halloween Carnival that is geared for ages 10 years and under. This event will be held on Friday, October 31, 5:00pm-7:00pm at Rotary Park Gym. THIS EVENT IS FREE!!! Parental supervision is required at all times. Second Avenue in Loretto will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, October 27 as work begins on the bridge replacement over Loretto Branch (Mill Creek) near Augustin Lumber Company. Construction is expected to take at least 6 weeks.

Lewis County Historical Society in Hohenwald, Tennessee, is organizing the 1st Annual Christmas Tour of Hohenwald?s Historic District, on Saturday, December 6. The Lawrence County Public Library will begin offering Toddler Time on October 16th. This interactive program is designed for children from 18 months through three years old, and their parents or guardians. Short stories, songs, finger plays, and music are used to make this time as rewarding and instructive as possible, and to encourage a love of books. This 20-25 minute program will be offered each Thursday at 10am. No registration is required, but each child must be accompanied by an adult. LAWRENCEBURG ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS WILL MEET TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2014 AT 8:30 A.M. IN THE COUNCIL MEETING ROOM OF THE LAWRENCEBURG MUNICIPAL COMPLEX, LOCATED AT 25 PUBLIC SQUARE.
