After losing her husband nearly five years ago to Muscular Dystrophy, Rhonda now works two jobs, at McDonald's and for the Lawrence County School System, that are able to provide only her basic needs. However, her home and means of transportation are now in need of a few repairs that her weekly income just can't cover; few being, septic tank repair, a new roof, and repairs to her transmission. ,,All proceeds will go directly to an account that has been set up at Employee Resources Credit Union for the Rhonda Wilbanks Fund. The purpose of this meeting is to consider a change to the Zoning Ordinance to rezone property on the west side of First Avenue and the south side of Second Street as C-3 (General Commercial) from R-3 (Medium-Density Residential District).
The purpose of this rezone is to allow for the use of all the parcels as commercial property.

The class will be offered Monday evening, June 23, 2014 from 6:00-8:00, and again on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for those who prefer to meet during the daytime.,Safe canning practices will be covered as well as basics of freezing and dehydration. Participants will receive UT Preserving and Canning recipe books as a part of the class.,This class is free.
