The Board of Commissioners of Lawrence County, Tennessee will meet in Regular Session on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 5pm in the Commission Room of the Lawrence County Courthouse in Lawrenceburg, TN in order to consider any matter that may legally come before it. The public is invited to attend.


The Loretto Lions Club will be hosting the “Abigail’s Plan Benefit Motocross” Saturday Nov 15th with the main event starting at 5pm.  The race will take place in the Loretto City Park.  The gates will open at 12 Noon with admission being $7 adult, 6-12 $5 and under 6 free.  Practice will begin at 3:30pm.  Concessions will be available.


Kids karaoke every Monday night from 6 til 8 at the Lawrenceburg Elks Lodge. Free pizza furnished by Papa Johns. All children must be with a parent or guardian.


Santa and his elves will once again be at the Lawrence County Public Library. On December 11th at 4pm all Kindergarten through 3rd graders are invited to take part in the festive fun. A marketing outlook meeting has been scheduled with UT Extension Ag Econ Specialist, Dr. Andrew Griffith for Monday, November 24th.  The meeting will take place at the Giles County Extension Office located at 132 S. Second Street in Pulaski beginning at 6:30 pm. Refreshments will be served. Dr. Griffith will discuss outlook in the beef industry as well as a new marketing format that we are considering to keep beef producers and others up-to-date on the market while discussing other marketing options including livestock risk insurance, etc.

LCHS Baseball’s 1st Annual 5K Turkey Trot Race and Walk

LCHS Baseball will have its first annual 5K Turkey Trot Race and Walk at David Crockett State Park on November the 22nd.  Race will start and end at the David Crockett State Park Restaurant.  Come and enjoy a beautiful scenic on road / off road course.  Run the beautiful trails that are hidden within the park!

Time: 7:30 am 5k Race Start

6:30 – 7:15 am Registration

Registration: $20.00 - Pre-register by November 13, 2014 (Guaranteed T-Shirt Day of Race)

The City of Lawrenceburg will begin accepting requests to reserve the City Auditorium for events in 2015 beginning November 3, 2014.

As of November 3, a non-refundable reservation fee of $30.00 is due at the time of reservation and is required for each date booked.
 
Some dates, due to city or community functions, will not be available for public use.

Please come to the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex located at 25 Public Square to make your reservations.  The building opens at 8:00 a.m.


Lewis County Historical Society in Hohenwald, Tennessee, is organizing the 1st Annual Christmas Tour of Hohenwald?s Historic District, on Saturday, December 6. Tickets are $10; $7 ages 12 and under; free for children 3 and under and may be purchased the day of the event at The Emporium, located at 25 E. Main St., in downtown Hohenwald, or in advance at Lewis County Museum of Natural History, Strand Art Gallery or Chamber of Commerce office. ,Ticket admission is good for program and tours to Historic District Churches, Lewis County Museum of Natural History, and Strand Theatre's Winter Wonderland on Saturday, December 6. Church programs and tours will begin at 1pm at First Baptist Church; 2pm at First United Methodist Church; 3pm at Hohenwald Church of Christ; 4pm at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. All churches are located within walking distance of downtown Hohenwald. You will need to pick up a tour program with a map at The Emporium before beginning your tour.
