Resident Frightened By Actions Of Intruder

A Lawrenceburg woman reported to law enforcement officials that an intruder had entered her apartment Monday, mistaking her for another resident.

The victim, age 71, reported to officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that she had been inside her apartment when a tall, white female with long black hair and rotten teeth barged in and “got in her face.”

The victim reported that the intruder demanded to know whether she was the grandmother of another Lawrenceburg woman. When she responded in the negative, she said the woman left her apartment, got into a vehicle, and drove away.

A neighbor was able to provide officers with a description of the unique vehicle. Both he and the resident said they believed the woman had intended to rob the grandmother of the woman she had named, but that she had entered the wrong apartment.

Officers placed a keep watch on the premises while the investigation continues.
