Missing Debit Card Used For Illegal Purchase
A Lawrenceburg resident discovered last week that her missing debit card had been used to make an illegal purchase.
The victim, age 67, reported to officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that her bank debit card had gone missing the previous day while she was shopping at Walgreen’s.
She said that before she realized that it was missing and could report it to her bank someone had used it online to pay for a hotel room through Priceline.com.
The case remains under investigation at the current time.
