Leoma Man Flips Log Truck Trying To Avoid Crash

Alabama authorities say a Leoma man tried in vain to avoid impact when a car drifted into the path of his logging truck on Thursday.

Lexington, Alabama officials report that the crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Alabama 64, approximately one mile east of the Alabama 101 intersection.

They indicate that Michael Shane Sinyard was traveling westbound in a logging truck when an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Anderson, Alabama resident Aubrey Wallace Williams, 32, apparently drifted into his path.

The impact caused Williams’ car to catch fire. Officers said she died in the crash.

Authorities said Sinyard flipped his logging truck in an attempt to avoid the collision.
