Neighbor Caught Stealing Newspaper
Deputies were dispatched to a Summertown home on Monday where a resident reported she had seen her neighbor stealing her newspaper.
The victim reported through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that she had noticed the neighbor riding past her home on a bicycle. She said that he took her newspaper from her driveway and that she went to confront him.
When she did so, she said he “just looked at her, dropped the newspaper, and peddled off.”
The victim reported that this has been an on-going problem for her, as well as for some of her other neighbors. In addition, the victim reported that she had several gas cans that had recently gone missing.
The matter currently remains under investigation.
