Armed Robbery Suspects Apprehended
Law enforcement officials report that individuals identified as suspects in a local armed robbery in late October have been apprehended.
A press release had been issued last week through the Lawrenceburg Police Department seeking public 
assistance in locating suspects Adam Michael Hunt, 20 of Lawrenceburg, and Christopher Thomas Jackson, 29, of Columbia.
The pair had been wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Clearview Avenue 
on October 29. The pair is accused of robbing a Memphis resident while he was visiting Lawrenceburg on that date.
Officials report that they gained information on November 10 regarding the whereabouts of Hunt. With the assistance of detectives in Murfreesboro, Hunt was apprehended at Murfreesboro Motel and transported to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department for holding. He was then transferred back to Lawrenceburg where he was jailed under charges of aggravated robbery and theft.
On Friday detectives received a tip indicating that Jackson was staying with his girlfriend at Crockett Motel in Lawrenceburg. When they went to the motel they report finding Jackson hiding in the shower of the motel room. They said that a black Ruger .380 pistol, matching the description of the one used in the robbery, was found inside the motel room.
Jackson was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center where he was booked under charges that include aggravated robbery, theft, possession of Schedule VI narcotics, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of stolen property.
Detectives indicate that Jackson’s girlfriend, Kendra
Gabrielle Smith, 29, of Ethridge, was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging her with violation of probation. They will also seek an indictment charging her with obstruction of justice.
Evidence in the case will be presented to the December 5 session of the Lawrence County Grand Jury.
