Victim Sustains Concussion When Hit With Table During Domestic Dispute

A Lawrenceburg woman reported to authorities Saturday that she had sustained a concussion when she was hit in the face with a table during a domestic dispute.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to the Mahr Avenue home around 12:30 p.m. to investigate a verbal dispute.

During the investigation they learned that an argument had erupted between the eighteen year old victim and her twenty-three year old girlfriend three days prior.

She told officers that during the argument her girlfriend’s cousin, Craig Allen Hubbard, age 23, of 162 Red Oak Road, had become enraged and struck her in the face with a table.

The victim said she sustained a concussion and a black and bloodshot eye in the altercation. Afterwards, she said she had to obtain medical treatment for her injury.

When they asked Hubbard about the incident, they report that he told them he had been holding the table when, “she was trying to get to him and she hit her head on it.”

Hubbard was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center for booking. He has been scheduled an initial appearance in General Sessions Court on December 5, 2014.
