South Lawrence Head Start Vandalized
Officials with South Lawrence Head Start arrived Friday morning to find that the facility had been targeted by vandals.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that officials arrived at the 114 West Second Street facility to find that vandals had painted on the door of a playhouse and the cover of a swing set. In addition, they report that the culprit had smeared feces down one of the slides.
Facility officials estimated damages to total $100. Investigation into the incident is currently continuing through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
