Loretto High Presents "Opals Husband"

Under the direction of Brandon Weaver, the Loretto High School Drama Department invites you to its 2013 fall production of Opal’s Husband, by John Patrick.

Public performances will be Friday, November 8th, Saturday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 10th at 2:30 p.m. in the Loretto High School Little Theatre.

The hilarious sequel to Everybody Loves Opal, John Patrick’s Opal’s Husband will have you laughing the whole way home.

It tells the story of Opal Kronkie (Alex Beckman and Breann Busby) as she answers an ad in the newspaper for her friend Rosie Montefalco (Holly Morris).

Instead of “Mister Handsome” showing up at her door, she meets the elderly and quite wealthy Captain Mooney (Juddy Wright).

Little does she know, Opal will be protecting Mooney from his daughter Velma Lemon (Mycalyn Saucier) and her husband Otis (Taylor Weaver), who are after his luxurious estate.

The greedy couple tries many tricks to get the witty Captain away from his bride. This bright comedy is sure to bring lots of laughter.

This production also calls for a great technical crew. Mycalyn Saucier and Taylor Weaver are the Assistant Directors while Trinity Rivers will be the Stage Manager. Under the tutelage of community supporter Jim Bradley, Micah Perry will be the light technician.

Also in the balcony with them will be the sound technician, Katie Short. Leonda Mott, Aly Keeton, Chloe Huntley, and Holly Morris will be handling the costumes. Nikki Creech, Sydney Hallmark, and Kailey Daniel will be applying the make-up.

Lacey Hallock, Hannah Kelly, and Victoria Cain will be dealing with properties. Kristen Dean will be overseeing business and finance.

Publicity is being handled by Abby Caldwell, Emma Harbison, and Sara Hein.

Last, but definitely not least, is the Set Construction crew; Kailey Clingenpeel, Jesse Atkisson, Madison Burks, Anna Shadix, Juddy Wright, and Tyler Carter.

All tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the door or reserved by calling (931) 853-4324.
