Shooting Team Awards Ceremony
The LCHS Shooting Team recently held an awards ceremony recognizing the teams 2013 accomplishments as well as individual awards.
The following Varsity athletes were awarded Letters; Ben Evers, Jason Story, Austin Moore, Chase Kobeck, JP Story, Derek Eaton, Bobby Benson, Ben Threet, Ethan Wallace and Jackson Woods.
The Junior Varsity Team was recognized for its 3rd place win at the State Tournament.
Members of the Jr. Varsity Team are Logan Cowheard, Connor Walters, Rhett Yates, Grant Counce, Tanner Clark, Jordan Haney, and Jotham Saunders.
Individual awards went to Varsity MVP – Bobby Benson(89 Avg and 2 Straight 25 Patches), Team Top Gun – Ben Threet (89.5 Avg and 3 Straight 25 Patches), Jr. Varsity MVP – Logan Cowheard(85 Avg and 1 Straight 25 Patch),
Varsity Most Improved – Chase Kobeck, and Jr. Varsity Most Improved Tanner Clark.
Ben Evers and Jason Story were recognized as the only two Seniors and for playing a vital role in the leadership and success of this years team.
The ceremony was held at Eagle Eye Shooting Range in Summertown and catered by Shaffer’s Meats. The team is coached by Greg Holt and assistants Shane Eaton and Shawn Walters.
